Fundo Verde funds projects that aim at improving the electrical infrastructure of the Cidade Universit\u00e1ria\ncampus, as well as investing in innovation technologies for UFRJ. Such investments are\nmade as to promote greater safety for the UFRJ's electrical grid and a cultural change\ntowards investments in electrical equipment and infrastructure.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During its operation, Fundo Verde carried out installation\/renovation works to four\nelectrical substations<\/strong>, specially the modernization of Clementino Fraga Filho\nUniversity Hospital\u2019s electrical substation and the installation of the substation in\nTechnology Center II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have additionally provided the changing of light bulbs in five centers\/institutes,\nwhich amounted to more than 68,000 changed light bulbs<\/strong> in the following buildings: Health Sciences Center, Technology Center, Mathematics and Nature Sciences Center\nand Technological Development Support Laboratory \u2013 Dentistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fundo Verde is curretly funding the replacement of all the 1130 public lighting\nfixtures<\/strong> on the campus<\/em> with LED models, an ongoing project that will be completed\nduring the year 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fundo Verde\u2019s actions in the energy efficience sector contribute to the \u201cEssa conta \u00e9 de todos\u201d<\/a>, (This bill belongs to everyone) campaign, created by the Rector\u2019s Office and UFRJ\u2019s\nAdministrative Office to reduce electricity costs at the university.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
