Such studies served the purpose of prospecting and\ndeveloping new projects, in addition to helping us further comprehend the energy\nconsumption on the Cidade Universit\u00e1ria campus, as well as the displacements to and\nwithin it. We highlight the following reports among the ones produced by our studies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Monitoring the consumption of natural resources on our campus. <em>campus<\/em>.<\/li><li>Energy consumption report on different centers of our campus. <em>campus<\/em>.<\/li><li>Photovoltaic Potential of Ilha do Fund\u00e3o.<\/li><li>Study on migration from UFRJ to the Free Energy Market (MLE).<\/li><li class=\"translation-block\">Technical and Economic Feasibility Study for the implementation of waterway\ntransportation and light rail (VLT) at the Cidade Universit\u00e1ria campus.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-theme-palette-4-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\">Sustainable Solutions contest<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of this contest was to stimulate innovative, low-cost ideas aimed at\nuniversity<em> campuses<\/em> and mid-sized cities. The contest was divided into three different\ncategories (Water, Energy and Mobility), and gave an award, in each of those area, to\nthe best project regarding innovation, cost and replicability potential, in line with the\nMaster Plan for UFRJ <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ufrj.br\/acesso-a-informacao\/acoes-e-programas\/plano-diretor\/\" target=\"_blank\">(2020 Master Plan for UFRJ)<\/a>. The contest was attended by\nstudents, researchers and employees at UFRJ. The proposals were judged by a\ncommittee of experts comprised of the Board Members of Fundo Verde, of UFRJ\u2019s\nTechnology Park and of the Master Plan for UFRJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, 26 projects entered the contest, with four winners \u2013 due to a tie, two projects\nwere awarded the win in the Water category \u2013, with projects that addressed topics such\nas: carpooling, energy efficiency in the Technology Center (CT), efficiency in water\nconsumption and sewage treatment.
